For boys, most people would say De'Sean Turner, but what about after than between Moldovan, Weatherford, Green, Heckhausen, ... I didn't know anything about Heckhausen, but 15:02 track 5k at NON is pretty impressive.

For girls, who can challenge Banfich? Let's hear your picks.

Heckhausen was a foreign exchange student and is gone. Some other top guys are Michael Disher from Southport, Andrew Poore and Aaron Kremer from Bishop Chatard, Ondraius Richardson(De'Sean's teammate), Adrien Dannemiller from Martinsville, Michael Hoffman from Bloomington North, Cole Hardacre from Pendleton Heights, Jacob Rich from Carmel, Tito Medrano from Lafayette Jefferson, and Michael Fout from LaPorte. There are others I am missing as that was off the top of my head.

For girls, Westfield has two girls up there in Krasich and Bingham. Carmel has a few girls. Chelsea Blanchard from Carroll, Amy Hamilton from Terre Haute North, Betsy Kim from Columbus North, Lauren and Amanda Hardesty from Valpo, and Mary Cate Quiett from Mishawaka Marian are also contenders among others.

There is a freshman girl this year who I have heard a lot of people talk about having a shot at the title. Her name slips my mind at the moment I'll post if I find it.

Ben Reifenberg of Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger has benn running really well all year. His best so far has been 15:34, winning the Bruin Invite. He also finished 4th at the New Prarie Invitational, following Fout, Dye, and Turner.
