Some very interesting results. I would assume defending ND state champ Larson was taking it easy, or just running for fun/with his teamates, but then why would he finish 29 sec back of first? And Hilius, who won the race was 74th place the week before at the "Orr"iginals meet. Not to mention Kamoni who placed fifth didn't even run at the Orringinals. And Aaron Motacek has'nt run a meet yet this year but was 27th at the state meet last year.

What I'm trying to say is Jamestoen is/will be a completely different team than when they raced the Orriginals and their 4th and 5th guys were 47th and 69th after a 1,4,5 finish from their top three.

It will be interesting to see how they stack up this weekend with HL #7 Bismarck(who will be missing last years #1 to injury, and their #4 from their first meet to soccer) in Dickinson. It could be a very close matchup.

Yeah, my son ran that one in the past for S-M, times there mean nothing its a fun early-season event of an entirely different nature and it does look like Larson just paced it out with his teammates. Jamestown should be solid next time out, we haven't seen them full strength yet in a real xc race.

At some point lets consider a 'North Dakota results' thread here for the in-state stuff involving ranked and 'on the bubble' teams the rest of the season, each state thread will be active enough to stay near the top through state. The individual meet threads, on the other hand, will gradually disappear into oblivion of page two and beyond. But it's up to you, you're the ND guy.

For whatever reason the girls 4k top times weren't quite as out there, Conlon apparently took a more competitive stance here than the top boys; top 20 individuals and complete team scores available here, b&g:
