How much of a difference would heavy wind make during a repeat workout? Especially for distances of 400 and 800.

A lot...this is off the top of my head so it's probably wrong but i've read that a wind of 10-15 mph decreases running economy by 10-15%

Edit: i know it's a lot, it's just that the numbers aren't correct

I add 2-3 seconds

i take it that would be per lap?

If i ran a 3200m in 9:58 in 14 mph wind then what my "generic time" be?

FCUK WIND!!! I HATE WIND! WIND SUCKS BIG TIME!

edit: yea I'd say it really effects a workout. A lot. Like 4 sec/lap. It's like 20 times as hard to run into the wind and you almost never feel it at your back on the other stretch.

Don't worry so much about the wind and how it effects your times, just concentrate on the effort of the workout. A hard workout should still feel hard regardless of the wind.
