With powerhouse teams such as Creek, Dakota, Air Academy, and Rampart being absent from the Columbine Invite, the race belonged to 3 teams. And sure enough, those 3 finished at the top. However, it was the order that they finished that once again stirred the SW Rankings. With SW#6 Ft Collins going in as the favorites, Wheat Ridge went out and proved that they are for real this year with an 11 point victory over the Lambkins. Also, SW#10 Chaparral was only 9 points behind Ft Collins. Here are the full boys results:

Damm, if our (Ft. Collins) boys could have recruited Katie Vanetta yesterday, we would have sneaked out a 3 point win!!!

State is gonna be interesting because it seems like teams like Ft. Collins and Dakota Ridge are somewhat on the decline while Rampart and Chap are up and coming. Yet Wheatridge has seemed to find a new peak every race, their pack is definitely impressive. By the way Chap was missing their number two runner yesterday and that could of bumped them up to second. Two last things, who all is gonna be at loveland next week and was the 14:38 in the paper just a misprint cause if not that would be unreal.

Ok well I am chap's number two runner and I hopefully would have beat her if i ran cause I have in every other race. But it is kinda sad that I have to even say that about a chick, she is amazing.

Yeah, i was wondering where you guys ran today? we were up at Centerra, and there were some studs there but our team took it some what easy except for Bush, who got sixth, he has got good 5k speed but I really think his race is a 10k.

Our JV guys ran at Northglenn, but our top 5 guys needed a week off! bc after this week, we have 4 very big races all in a row!!

Los Alamos, NM won overall pretty easily with GJ finishing in second and then 3,4, and 5 were really close between dakota ridge, cheyenne central, and chap, in that order, i think creek finished like sixth but I'm not sure. Their were some big name individuals like medina, manilafasha, tolev, appel, and busch, but the course wasn't too exciting.

Nice, Clayton ran a 16:10 at the Greeley Central Race. It was quite a bit of spongy grass that was freshly cut too so it wasn't great for my allergies at least. man i can't wait for the first frost.
