I'm planning on buying this: Speed Trainer (http://www.thesportsauthority.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1187224&cp=717754.933063.1739064&clickid=mainnav_browse_txt&parentPage=family) and i'm just wondering if they really work to make u sprint faster.

Agreed. And something that hinders or improves and individual's performance by more than 10% really puts them in a risk of getting hurt or changing their mechanics.
