After reading about the advantages of training in flats, I am trying to slowly make the transition to doing all of my mileage in flats. Any advice on the process of switching from normal trainers to flats along with which flats are good for training would be greatly appreciated.

I went from Asics 2100's to Asics DS racers to Adidas AdiZero LT. I reallllllllly like the Adizeros. Perfect training flat for me.

I didn't really like these. They were pretty comfy, but there was a huge heel on them, that I didn't like for training.

I currently run in stability shoes, should I get a flat that has a post in it for less chance of injury?

I run in the streaks occasionally but I don't like them for every day training because of the heel. As for a comparison, there is much more support to the adizeros, and I find the adizeros to be a little more comfortable.

I suggest going to a lightweight trainer first, mine was the brooks axiom, and on workout days use flats. After you're confident enough, head out for a long run in flats and see how you feel. Keep doing the flats on workout days, but slowly start to do more long runs in flats.
That's what I did.
When it comes down to my preferences for flats, I go with Streak XC... I like the upper.

nike zoom elite is a flat with a medial post. You could call it a stability flat.

Do you know where I can get the original ones? The 2's are ok but I liked the original one way better.

I only think the 2s are out now. They didn't really change that much.
