Most rediculouse race I have ever ran in my life. I ran as a bandit and got like 1:10 something. Soo hard. At first it was fun but then it just gets long.. Me and my teammate ran in just a t-shirt and shorts. When we were taking our clothes off after the race the laces were covered in huge clumps of snow and mud and they wouldn't come off.
edit: the reason the time was so slow: we played in the snow and wrote conant XC on a hill and tried to find the best ice for skating and twirling.

Yeah. I saw a few teams there - Wheaton North, Wheaton South (girls) Naperville North and Central, Bartlet, GBS, Neuqua, Waubonsie and a few A schools I dont remember.
I had to cut the laces on my spikes, even after 20 min of warming up in the car i couldnt do anything. I was about 11 min slower this year then last, it was just sooo much harder. I got a thorn stuck in my thigh half way though but didnt even feel the pain. Wearing short-shorts and a no-sleeve shirt. I think i rolled my ankle though

I was doing well until that mud puddle in the part where you get back onto the same part of the course from the beginning. I was running through and fell waist deep into the mud. I was stuck there for a long time, maybe 20 people went by, until somebody helped me out.

I can't decide if I enjoyed it or not. I came in at like 50:14, and had a sick gash on my knee that i didn't even notice til the end. I had to leave right after the race, how was the food?
and props to the GBS guys for going shirtless

Those last mud puddles/ponds were ridiculous i totally fell in face first. I went shirtless with hat and gloves and Ironically the only cold part of my body was hands and feet.... maybe be cause the rest of me was covered in baby oil

Teams Results?
Thats incredibly slow, the course must have been a mess. I think my team mates and I ran mid 40s last year, I couldnt run it this year, but the NN guys were in the 50s today.

I know!! I had nice mittens on and my hands were still freezing. What sucks is even when you finish you are almost a mile away from your car!
props to the GBS guys for going shirtless
Major props. Me and my teammate thought we would be the craziest people with what we were wearing but when we saw them it was like OMG noooo way.

There should be a guy in second that is not in the results because his shoe came off so he carried his chip across the line and it never got picked up by the mat. Anyone know how long till photos come up? 2 or 3 days in the past years I thought.

LoL that guy is my XC coach Joe Parks. Him, DeSilva, Speare, and Morici where on a team together and he is a beast. Finished second by like 3 seconds or something like that without his shoe. Had to go to the hospital afterwards, but still a beast

It was a good day for Lake Park Alums. Ted Winkler is really Steve Bach. Drew Hatzold, Bernie Healy and Steve Bach were all top 10.
Also, the real B.A. Ware wasn't able to make it, he couldn't get a ride. Normally he does pretty well in this race.

search brightroom for Parks and look under Joe Parks... you will notice he ran the last 2 miles only with one shoe.... he got some major frostbite. (SCN Coach)
