I am a short sprinter up to 300 meters. I was talking to a teammate that said needles weren't good for sprinting and I should use pyramids instead, is she right?
I would really appreciate some advice from more experienced sprinters.
Does the spike actually effect the way I run?
Please Help!!

I personally like compression AKA X-mas tree spikes. they push down on the track rather than ripping into the track like pyramids and needles. for sprinting my favorite spikes go like this
1. Xmas tree
2. Pyramid
3. Needles

just use pyraminds...unless you really are concerned about the condition of the track you run on

Compression Spikes or pyramids, needle spikes have too much grip, I ran on a very soft track and it ripped my shoe clean off my foot.

ive used only pyramids and needle spikes. havent used x trees yet. i like pyramids cause they dig further into the track. they let you push more in my opinion. i feel like im slipping in needles, atleast on a dirt track. on all weather i really dont think it matters
