Absolutely amazing. One has to wonder what Bekele could throw down. Not to mention what kind of performance they could do if they were all in the same race.

That's insane! And he is only 20 years old!!!
I like Gebs response to the record- Gebrselassie - I'll get the record back 'as soon as I can find another Half Marathon'

I guess this makes that extra distance Haile ran a little more controversial. What was it again, something like 200 meters?

It's always better to have a little bit of over distance than to risk a record not counting because the race was short.
Edit: That was one hell of a run though.
Geb is so awesome, that is an awesome quote.

article:
Wanjiru set about his task with a will, shooting to the front of a field of around 15 men who hurtled through five kilometres in 13:27. That was slightly downhill, whereas the second 5k of the out-and-back course was slightly uphill. That was covered in 14:20, for an outrageous 10k ‘split’ of 27:47

This was a great race! Has Geb raced since the Berlin marathon besides his 4km exhibition xc race at Edinburgh last month, in which he tied with Paul Tergat, holding hands through the finish? I wonder what Geb's plans are and Samuel's plans? Geb will run London.
The half marathon has heated up in the recent years. Haile, Paul Tergat, Samuel, Zersenay, Paul Kosgei, Patrick. This is great!
