I have some information about the meet that my coach emailed me a couple of days ago.

Some pre-meet reminders for your information. Please review this with your athletes prior to Sunday.

Athletes may not use electronic devices of any kind in the competition area.

The competition area is defined as the entire infield as well as the track itself.

This means that athletes warming up on the track may not wear any type of headphones.

The uniform rules will be strictly enforced.

Athletes in all events must wear their competitive number.

The infield is a closed area to all athletes, coaches, and spectators.

The area at the hurdle / dash start will become an open area once the finals are run.

Semis in the hurdles and dash will be eliminated if FAT results are available.

Check in for running will be in the far corner of the field house near the windows.

Scratch period ends at 12:30. Alternates will be added at that time. Please declare the availability of alternates on the scratch sheets.

New England entries must be declared at the awards table on Sunday.

Below are the assignments of officials for Sunday.

High jumpers must wear flats. Runners may use ¼” pyramid spikes only. Spikes are not to be worn in the stands.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of us prior to Sunday.

IMPORTANT
Due to the fact that the meet is very popular and spectators come from all the N.E. states, the Reggie Lewis Center is filled to capacity. So we are obliged to monitor carefully all non-registered athletes, including alternates in the relays. Coaches must understand this fact. We cannot allow non-competitors to be passed into the meet for free. The Boston Fire Marshals are very cognizant of overcrowding, and in the past have ordered us to close the doors early causing some parents to be unable to see their sons or daughters compete.

The insurance policy carried by the C.N.E.S.S.P.A. provides for the safety of athletes and spectators. The individual schools, in accordance with the insurance programs operating in their respective states, should provide insurance for athletes and coaches.
