What's up guys. Pifer gets 3rd at Nats. No props. He has put together an awesome career. Let's give it up for our boy. I didn't see the race but from teh times and what I heard he was in the running for the title as well. Hopefully he has a great outdoor as well. What a year. All-American twice and a second team title.

Also, how did the rest of the Illinois contigent do? I notice no one mentioned the women in who was running in the meet on the other thread. I'm not sure who all of them were, but I saw Boatright in the DMR and 4 x 400. Arkansas women did place in the 4 x 400.

Who else did well or ran good times (men and women)?

By the way people have begun to figure out how to spell his name! Pifer is well spoken, knowledgeable, and generous with his praise of others. He is someone Edwardsville High School, Glen Carbon and the state of Illinois can be proud of.

Here is an interview of Stephen by Flocast after his 3rd place race on Saturday:

If I misspelled his name I should be shot. I find often that people misspell his first name (Steven instead of Stephen) as much as the last name.

I meant on LetsRun and other places that used to spell in any number of crazy ways. His consistency and clutch performances as well as his sub-4 Mile have got people to pay attention enough to realize its not Pfeiffer.

This couldn't be more true. A great person and a great athlete. He deserves all that life has to give.
