``A young girl whimpering could be mistaken for the mewing sound
from a lion cub, which in turn could explain why they didn't eat
her,'' Williams said.Go Lions!

Kidnapping young girls has long been part of the marriage custom
in Ethiopia. The United Nations estimates that more than 70 percent
of marriages in Ethiopia are by abduction, practiced in rural areas
where most of the country's 71 million people live. That's just scary.

I'm not sure whether I'd be more afraid of being beaten or having three lions surrounding me.

Nope, not allergic...It would just be frightening at least a little bit to have lions surrounding you. Once I figured out that they were just protecting me, I would've been better.

It'll feel like true love at first, ladies, but he really just wants you to scare up his next meal for him while he lounges in the sun. Then, of course, he'll lope on up and chase you away from your kill in order to get the best parts for himself, and you get stuck with the leftovers. Ahh, to be King of the Jungle. Who wants to be my Queen and scare up my meals for me? You don't have to go it alone, bring in as many of your girlfriends as you please. <Yawn and stretch>

I can't help but admire Sgt. Wondimu Wedajo's storytelling skills, he'd be a good man to have at the campfire, I suspect:

"They stood guard until we found her and then they just left
her like a gift and went back into the forest,'' Wondimu said.
