I'm not sure where I should focus in track for next year. I've done a lot of different things, but I want to focus on one next year. What do you guys think I would be best suited to do?
My PRs are 100m-10.6 anchor split, 200m-23.1(after other races), 400m-51.9, 800-2:03.8, 400ih-58.8. Should I stick with sprinting? By the way im 5'11'' and 134 pounds. Should I move up to the 800 and the mile? Thanks.

I know of several people who run both sprints and mid-distance and succeed in both (one who comes to mind is JC Butler, who ran a 47.3 in the 400 and a 1:57 800). Just do what suits you best.

Well if you can run a legit 10.6 in the 100, then that is by far your best time. But I think that 4x100 relay splits should not even be taken because they are so inaccurate. It seems like you have some good speed and also some good indurance, so I guess I would say go with the 400 or 400hurdles.

work on your form with hurdles alot more... and focus on the 400/400h... the spread between them should be around 4 seconds so that 51.9 should be around 55.9-56.0ish...

first off the spread in the hurldes is only 4 seconds for the more advanced athletes. My spread was 6 seconds this year and i was ranked number two in the nation in Juco for a while in the 400 hurdles. I have said it before and ill say it again...there is no creditability to a 100 meter split, which on anchor is evern worse because you might have only ran 90 meters, don't think that you can run a 10.6 100 meter dash.

a 10.6 100 is sick, but since its a relay split its not valid. if i were you i would stick with the 100 and 200 because they are the easiest, most glamorous, and the most fun. the crowd loves the anchor leg for a 4x100

if you ask me...id say stick with your 200/400/400hurdles..your 400m/400hurdles will increase your 200 speed in the long run..adding more to your endurance...your 100m may be increased as well but not for sure..but your 200m will probably show the must results. and 4x1 isnt always that exciting to me. 4x400 is more exciting..because who knows who might feel faster than light..and win a race..4x1 doesnt really have that..u have the speed or u dont..

If you have 51 speed in the 400, your 800 time should be much faster than 2:03. With a little bit of strength training, 800 could end up being your best race if you can maintain your speed while doing a bit more endurance training.

with a pr of 23.1 in the 200 your open 100 sure as hell isnt going to be a sub 11.0. so i would go with the 400 and 800. thats not a bad 400 time at all. its a washington class 3A state time. and if you shave off a good sec. to sec. and a half it would place in washington 3A state. now i dont know where you're from. but but washington if you were class 3A you would be going to state most likey.
