just wondering if anybody has gone to the mammoth running camp and if they would recommend it

u can not run for the whole summer and go there and then come back and be completely in shape. its worth it just for like the 1st week that your back because running at a low altitude feels wonderful after mammoth.

Yeah, Champions Running Camp in Mammoth is a good camp, especially if you go up there with teammates to get ready for the season as a group.

I've enrolled my daughter for session 1 and 2. If anyone has attended this camp i'd appreciate any information you could provide. I'm flying her in from north carolina, so she is psyched about visiting the sierra nevada for the 1st time.

The workouts are pretty intense and the staff is great. So is the food.

hey ashlee im lindsay! im gonna be a senior next year and ill be at camp with my teamate stacey, who will be a junior. we might also have another guy coming from our school, hes gonna be a junior as well. but anyways ill for sure see ya around up there! can't wait!

Im so excited to go to camp, and talk to someone who'll be going too!
I'll have to send you a pic some time so you know what I look like. =P

Im just curious; How many miles a week are you running?
I'll probobly be running somewhere between 25-30, to be ready
for high altitude, but sure enough not to wear me out.

I've never been to mammoth, or California...I can't wait! :]

ya ive never been to mammoth either, so im excited!
ummm...and as far as mileage goes im around 30 mpw...but if we do two a days at camp it will be probably be more. ya Im kinda easing back into mileage right now.

MAMMOTH IS AWESOME TO THE MAX!!!!!!!
went there my freshman year...
best time of running life!
unfortunately our school isnt going to camp for the 3rd year in a row!:mad:
also we planned a car wash to help fundraise to go to camp but our procrastinating coach left all the equipment inside one of the buildings & thus no money=no camp!....:mad: :(
sux cuz sum of the incoming seniors including myself have had a different coach every season!!!!:mad:

just the first week...even tho its barely a week!! we get there late on tuesday and leave early saturday!! that only gives us 3 solid days
