Just saw this on the BCSL Olympic results:
1 1014 Merkerson, Damon St. Mary's 11.20 10
1 1014 Merkerson, Damon St. Mary's 21.70 10
1 1014 Merkerson, Damon St. Mary's 50.50 10
1 1014 Merkerson, Damon St. Mary's 2:06.10 10
Nice quad; too bad St Mary's scored only one other point.

I don't think they ever did, but there is a track out on route 17 in Rutherford that looks great. They may run there.

That is the athletic facility for Becton Regional (Carlstadt/E. Rutherford). It replaced their old cinder track with the extended straightaway that could be used to run a straight 220 yard or 200 meter dash. No idea whether they use the new track or not. It's not that far from St. Mary's. Becton's track isn't in Rutherford (not sure whether that's Carlstadt or E. Rutherford on that stretch of 17, but pretty sure it is E. Rutherford), but it's very close to the Rutherford border.
St. Mary's wasn't the only school in the BCSL that didn't have a track. Wallington didn't have one, either. A large number of schools in the Olympic and National divisions still have cinder tracks. The Olympic/National Division championships were always held at New Milford. They were one of the few to have an all-weather track. Bogota had a cinder track that was just under five laps to a mile. As mentioned in another thread, Wood-Ridge has a cinder track that is basically a rectangle.

Yea, that's in East Rutherford. I don't know if they use the track, but they definitely use the fields they put in the complex, so I would assume the track gets used as well.

Actually Joe, it was in the National Div.
BTW 3 of the 4 marks made the seasonal performance lists at NJRuns (http://nj.milesplit.com/)

St.Mary's uses the track in Rutherford (Tryon Field), which is right off of route 21 next to the Passaic River. There was an all weather track put in at Tryon Field back in 2004, so it is also a nice facility like East Rutherford's.

I always thought that was Rutherford, but a little looking around shows that the place is called Riggin Memorial Field and its in Carlstadt.

Hmph. I asked my mom which town it was in, and she told me it was in E. Rutherford. You would think that after living in the town for half her life she would've known which one. :D

Hey, she could be right and what I read on the web in the Carlstadt town profile is incorrect. What do I know? I thought it was Rutherford.:D

Riggin Memorial Field is in East Rutherford. It is actually right near the border of Rutherford and East Rutherford, just on the E.Rutherford side of the border.
