I just saw 28 Weeks Later, it was great!!! This is a horror/action movie which came out on Friday, May 11th. It is the sequel to 28 Days Later which came out in 2003. In this movie there is a virus which was spread to humans which makes the humans go crazy with Rage and atakk everybody and eat them very aggressively. The movie got high critical reviews, high user reviews, but only ok money. The ok money($9.8 million or so on the weekend) might be due to the films genre, the popularity of Spiderman 3, or maybe the tv advertisements were not as good. Anyways the critical and user reviews speak for themselves! :)
I think it was better than the 300 movie barely, but I'm not as sure completely though. There were some pretty scary parts which suprise you out of your chair. Also there were some completely ultimate parts where it's aggressive and you get that slow rock guitar music happening. The directing was probably as good as the first one(new director, old director is exec. producer now), it was pretty great. Also, the daughter(Imogen Poots), one of the main characters, is extremely attractive! I'll see this movie hopefully two more times in theatres then buy the special edition dvd the day it comes out!
I checked Best Buy, Borders, and Barnes & Noble, they do not have the 28 Days Later dvd until later this week. Also, Target doesn't have it here and I don't think the K-Mart will have the movie also. I saw 28 Days Later years ago and it was really great. It had high user reviews, high critical reviews, and a descent amount of money for it's subgenre. There is a third part to the series, the graphic novel "28 Days Later: The Aftermath", which I bought at Borders bookstore today. It takes place between the two movies as a bridge, I'll read it today. I really want to see this movie more times and get the 28 Days Later dvd this week.

The daughter in the movie is Imogen Poots, a 17 year old new British actress. She appeared in an episode of the British hospital drama casualty and was Young Valerie(actress/lesbian in flashback) from V For Vendetta. I don't know if her next project is announced yet. There is EXTREMELY little information and pictures about her online. You can find a little info about her on these two sites, not sure if there is any other site with info, I couldn't find anything!...
