So track season is winding down now, and most of the dual meets are done in order for the post season races to begin. Has anyone here done the 1600m, 800m, 3200m, triple this season? What were your times? What was your strategy? You can post your regular prs if you want so we can see how good you did?

For extra fun, add up all three times and see what your "triple pr is".
(exclude any milliseconds on the end of your races to make it easier)

I'll start:

4:41
2:07
10:27

PR: 17:15

edit: Keep in mind that this is a triple, not the sum of your pr's. All three must be run at the same meet.

EDIT: so yeah i didnt read at all....real triple posted below

800- 2:04 (one meet left to bring it down)
1600- 4:40
3200- 10:06

16:48

to be honest, i should be a little faster in all of them, but since im the varsity fill in person, since im not really good enough to run whatever i want, i have to run whatever event no one else is running...i've never been able to settle in and get into a groove. but w/e, the are the best times ive run either way

EDIT: aw crap ur right, i didnt even read it. no i didnt do all of those together

the ONLY time i tripled was the secodn indoor meet in february, dual meet awful comp

3200- 10:40
800- 2:20
1600- 5:08
(and for fun the 4x4)- 59.5

In order of events... (I didn't triple, but I did quadruple once)

1600: 4:56 (pr at that time) (3rd place)
800: 2:13 (3rd place)
3200: 11:21 (jogged for place) (2nd place)
400 split: 56 (relay finished in 2nd place -- out of 4 teams between 2 schools, so no points)

Quad PR: 18:34

our state doesnt allow you to run more than 2 races over 800.

so you can only do
4x8/1500
4x8/800
4x8/3k
1500/800
1500/3k

800 is right after 3k so wont happen.

but it is stupid that you cant do 4x8/1500/800 it is pretty much the same as the 1500/3k but easier because there is a ton of recovery. 4x800 is run 30 minutes before the start of any other race. 1500m is in the middle of the day and the 800 is last event before 4x4.

Last year during indoor I had one pretty insane dual meet where I ran the 1600, 3200, and a 4x8 and PRed in all 3 (if you count relay splits as a PR)

1600 -- 4:32
3200 -- 9:57
800 split -- 2:04

Total = 16:33

Edit: This year if you take conversions, I also PRed in 2 events and ran a solid 800 split.

3k -- 9:00 ~ 9:38 for 3200
1 mile -- 4:27 ~ 4:26 for 1600
800 split -- 2:07

Total = 16:11

Lets see, my Triple PR from high school would have looked something like:

10:04
4:40
1:59

for a 16:43.

Now my Steeple-3200-800 PR was
9:58 (steeple)
10:01
1:58

which is a 21:57 for 7km, with 28 barriers and 7 water pits included.

800m 2:07
1600 4:40
3200 10:31

College (1 meet but 3 days so not quite as crazy as otherwise)
10k 33:20.44 (Friday night)
Steeple 9:57.20 (Saturday Morning)
5k 15:45 (Sunday Afternoon)

So 3 days but still it was 18000m of racing w/ a steeple in the middle.
