People always wonder what high school sports reporters do in the summer. This is officially on the syllabus for "How to Waste Time at Work 101." Let's try to keep this from my employers.

I scored the NON meet by state for all the individual events plus the 4x400 and NJ came out on top of the boys. Here's the top 10.

1. New Jersey 64; 2. North Carolina 60; 3. (tie) Pennsylvania and New York 54; 5. Virginia 28; 6. Georgia 23; 7. California 21; 8. (tie) Louisiana and Rhode Island 18; 10. (tie) Kansas, South Carolina, and Wisconsin 16.
