Do you go to camp alone or with teammates? I'm having a little problem trying to convince teammates to go back this yr, which will likely lead to me not going at all. Do any of you guys go alone?

i went alone last year.........it wud be better 2 get ppl. 2 go w/ u but a lot of ppl. either find it 2 expensive or dont want 2 really run..........it wasnt 2 bad except 4 the fact that the bunk i stayed in had an entire XC team nd they kind of already had there own clique.........its helpful 4 running though because it tests u nd makes sure ur in good shape........

Im going up to blue mountain alone. No offence but my #1 gaol is to run. #2 is to meet people and hang out. so going alone wouldnt be terrible

i have done both. with teammates i did the larger/better camp. We had just enough guys for one full cabin so it worked out good but we kinda secluded ourselves a little. The time i went alone it was too a camp that pretty much only had two different schools taking place and than me, it wasn't the nessisary the most informational camp but i made friends and it was fun. It was also cool being the only person repping my high school and EASILY winning the time trial with a tempo (they wouldn't believe me when i said i was 5th on my team the year before with everyone returning) lol
Overall i liked going with teammates better so i would suggest doing that. I am getting 2 of my friends to come to the smaller camp so i think that will still be fun.

I've done both at OTC, but its definitly more enjoyable with team mates there. It was really cool to go on my own and meet other runners who i might not have talked to if my teammates were there, but nothing beats going with a group of kids who are practically my brothers.
The fact it was about 30 degrees and snowing the whole week when i went solo didn't help either.

I've never been to a running camp but i've found with other camps you get to know a lot more kids if you're not with your friends. It puts you out of your comfort zone, which i think is good.

Last year I went to Camp of Champs in Madison, WI alone. It was still fun, but this year's gonna be even better with another teammate coming along. I can't wait! :)

last year i did a camp with just me and one of my team mates, it was really small though cause it was the first year of the camp, it was me, my team mate, 2 other guys, and 2 girls, it was really fun though because then you get to actually meet them and you see them at meets and are just like dude what up bra, so i voted going alone, because you get to meet other runners and everything
