Nice job for the race in general, a hair over 2000 finishers. Probably the biggest 5k around other than corporate challenge type things. Chris Heibell in 2nd place has improved a ton since HS. He's at Loyola (Md.) and ran aroun 14:40 this spring. Was decent at Immaculata, maybe just under 17:00 at Holmdel and 9:40-50 for 3200m, but huge improvements in college. Looks like he's pretty fit heading into his x-c season, good for him.

Very solid off season time for a 17 year old. What school does he go to/run for?

will be a junior this fall @ moorestown HS
was 7th at CJ-3 XC last fall
i believe he's related to Paul Friedman, who ran 9:20 full mile for Moorestown in 1976

He didn't do track did he? I don't remember seeing anything. I remember he was running low 17's at Holmdel this past fall.

he ran 10:03
South Jersey Invitational @ Buena
was also on the team that won the 4xmile at the South Jersey Relays (with junior James Mulski, soph Dave Ringwood and senior Matt Miller)
moorestown XC team looks strong this fall with Friedman, Mulski, Ringwood and also their 4-6-7 runners from last fall (Kevin Healey, Alex Matteson, Willie Naylor)
Friedman, Ringwood and Matteson were all sophs this past season on the team that was 3rd at CJ-3 and 6th at NJ-3
