one of Midlo's top returners, Mark Merrit, transfered to another school.

They still say that Midlothian is the favorite, but IMO this puts Oakton ahead of them...

My fault--Merritt(10th 2006 VA state meet) has transferred to Cosby HS--this will be his 3rd school as he started at Clover Hill.

Not all that suprising to me. He was at the outdoor state meet and said he didn't like the people at Midlothian. I think Cosby (a brand new school) is actually his home school.

Note Bene: Hoover and Baylor went one-two at Berry, burying Smith's Station, Parkview, Westminster, and other teams of note
Two points separated the top pair.
Baylor's South African, Waldo du Plessis won with Bill Matthews in third (2nd in team scoring).
