What do you guys think of the results of this race?
Bernard Lagat won in 13:14 and Kevin Sullivan(not 2nd) ran 13:27 in his debut for a rabbited 5k I believe for all time.
What do you think of Kevin Sullivan's race in particular?

Looks like you underestimated both of them  It was said that it is perfect running conditions out there, is that true?

I live 30 minutes away from Mt. Sac and raced there one time(4x800 in pr of 2:10.5). I hear there is smog there and the air is not too good, but when I went there I didn't explicitly notice it but I did have pain/soreness in my lungs after the race, maybe because of possible bad air? Anybody got more info on this? Anyways I hear Stanford has better weather, Los Angeles area is smoggy someplaces

i think that lagat with an april 13:14, 8 seconds ahead of everyone, could very well make a run at the american 5k record (bk 12:58.4) this year if he maintains 5k style training until a fast june or late may european 5k, where he would be going against sub-13 guys. he is also way ahead of his usual pace and might have one of his best years at the 1500m/mile, after a very nice indoor campaign, a sub 3:50 indoor mile, and i believe this is a 5 second pr in the 5k, or at least a pr.
