Low iron (anemia) can be caused by lots of things, some related to things you do (like training) or something related to your body. Some people's bodies don't process iron well for a variety of reasons. A high amount of training can deplete your iron, as can living at altitude and giving blood. Women are more prone to low iron then men, for a variety of reasons.
One of the simplest things to do is take iron supplementation. Pills are ok, liquid ferrous sulfate is better if you can stand the taste.
It's best to see a doctor, if you haven't already, as it could be an indicator of something more serious.
PM me if you want more detail.

I thought I had this problem last spring, so I did a bit of research on the subject. You want to get your iron through food (mainly red meat, green vegetables) rather than by a supplement. Iron supplements are linked to an increased risk for heart problems. It's one of the few supplements health experts recommend you avoid. Have some red meat with lunch and dinner. You'll notice when your iron comes back up because you'll feel infinitely better than you had.
