Class A State XC Champ Charlie Hatch had a great double on Thursday at the Nashville Invitational:

9:43.2 in the 3200
4:28.5 in the 1600

he had no competition in either race....won by about 1:00 in the 3200.

maybe Newton didn't wanna race them or whoever the coach is. Smart if you ask me. Might be savin Mac. Or maybe he didn't want Mac and Luke to fight and have this happen again....

yeah that was pretty funny of luke at sec. but props on the 3200 victory, nice kick.

actually its a dancing tree. they are the stanford cardinal. not cardinals. cardinal as in the color

now, i have the mile and the 800 from the bud mohns invitational on my computer. if anybody has the space to host a 35mb file and a 75mb file let me know, if not ill just start the BitTorrent thing back up

Looking at the Gus Scott Invite results, the winner of the 1600 was Eric Anerino of Naperville North-- 4:27.9...Who is this guy? Is it the wrong school....did he transfer in? I could not find his name in any of the cross country results last fall...

he did not do xc, hes a soccer player, last year indoors and soph dvc he ran a 434 so the fact that he is running 427 now isn't that big of a suprise, this kids got a lottttt of talent, watch out for him

I'm just going from memory here so there's probably a few mistakes on the events i know.

1600m team Race- A Runner- Mark Martinez, Guilford- 4:33
3200m run- A Runner Ryan Jacobs, Hononegah- 9:39
800m run- A Runner Dan Myers, Belvidere- 1:59

This is true. I remember them in middle school, winning every 1.5 mile race by like 20-30 seconds, beasts.

Yeah I remember that, our coach really hyped that meet up. According to him it was a "real" cross country meet. I was in like 7th grade so I didn't really think anything of it until I the race actually started and I got elbowed and pushed around for the first time. Needless to say, I learned quickly.

I'm pretty sure a stress reaction is when ur bone starts to break down but is not cracked like it would be in a stress fracture. It doesn't take as long to heal but if you keep running on it can really become a bad stress fracture.

Oak Lawn Invite Results of interest:

Pierie (LW East) 3200 - 9:25
Majcina (LW East ) HJ - 7'0

It's pretty impressive to walk under the bar at 7'0.

Pierie ran alone on his 9:25. 2nd place was maybe 10:05.

Those results say Dettman from York ran in the 800m- 1:56. Is that correct? I thought he wasn't in that.

yeah, he was a very high 1:56, probably 1:56.8/1:56.9

So it looked like the first Dettman ran about 61 for his last lap, the other one 62. I had the one Dettman leading at the 1200 in 3:17 with the other .5 behind, and he ended up about .5 ahead at the finish.

Plus Kuzcawra is a soph too.

DGN had some nice times too, how many of them return next year? What happened to Barron?

1:57.5 for the 800
4:26.7 for the 1600

Finley ran a 4:18 at IPTT. He ran a 9:21 3200 a few days ago. And he's only a junior.

Well then one would have to assume that he could run even faster in the 1600m than in this meet.

Did the other Dettman run in the 4x800m relay or nothing?
