I spoke with Brandon last night and he received encouraging news from his doctor.

He has a strained groin and is hopeful he can start running again in a few days. Doc told him that if hadn't stopped when he did that the injury would have been much worse and his season could have ended right then and there.

He said he won't be running at the Essex County meet next Friday, but left open the chance that he may run at the state prep meet on 31st if he's feeling 100 percent by then.

Great news. Big talent and smart for pulling out before it became worse. I hope he recovers quickly.

I actually do recover quickly and am rarely injured if you look at the last 20 years. However, if you look at the last two, you'll find all the injuries from the last 20!:D

To expand on this.

You probably had 18 injury free years because you rested one day a week.

The last two years of injuries are probably related to you not running 7 days a week. ;)

Joe,

Are you related to a certain catcher, wore number 8, played for the Yanks, coached the Mets, currently drives a duck crazy?:)

Read what I wrote. All it says is that the only injuries I have had in the last 20 years have been lately. Actually healthy this year after meniscus surgery last year.

I love that duck...Yogi too!
