JI Invite and the Prom

It seems that there are a few teams that have their prom the day before the JI Invite. As far as I know, Fermi, Ellington, and Suffield have their proms the day before. Does anyone else from any other school have the prom the day before this invite? (only if your team goes to the invite). It seems that the prom could cause problems for the meet. From what I've heard from the tux man i saw today, he says there are a lot of towns that have their prom on the 20th.

My prom ... Old Saybrook's junior / senior prom is Friday, May 13th .. which also happens to be the night before Old Saybrook's Runnin' Rams Invitational. :confused: This should be interesting.

Last year we had prom the night before the State Coaches Invitation. That was the most fun I've ever had in a meet. You know it's bad when you don't think you're gonna finish 100m, I think I went in ranked like 15th-ish and finished 86th or something (and still got third in my heat).
Thankfully this year the prom is the night before a freshman-sophomore meet.

EDIT: Cocca, do you need a date to the Suffield prom? I want to go.

So what's the big deal? JI Invite's always been the 3rd Sat. in May and part of spring track and field is dealing with other events, prom/graduation ect. and running meets the next day or day of. Somerville HS of Massachusets has their prom the night before the Hartford Invite and they have to travel 100 miles. The JI meet shouldn't be a big deal compared to that.
