on the penntrack forum it was reported the race simply went out WAY too slow, and became a mad dash in the final lap. Miller was actually second to Tim Johnson with 100m to go, so it was certainly not a very decisive win for such a "slow" time. Less the half a second seperating the leaders. Oh well, despite Craig's slow starts I think he will really be rolling within a few weeks.

Like it or hate it Miller has never run any harder than he has to and it looks like today was no different.

i like that better than him being able to run no faster than 4:26.

True, but it his brother obviously is very talented too, that has to be alittle discouraging for him to lose to several people off the bat. Hopefully they both will put down some amazing times this year.

even though he is no longer with us i disgree with Firecheif, at states he didn't need to kick 800 meters out, but he wanted a time and wanted to win big time so he ran really hard, also it said the race went out in 2:20, but i doubt that all the leaders were that slow, becasue Andy Miller and Tim johnson don't have 2:06 closing speed, then again maybe they were scared and took it slow as well. I do agree he will be fine, and will run fast. Just give him some time!

Did the Millers end up swimming over the winter season?

Running to win , or not, Miller barely nips these guys, by tenths, if he was that fit he would have laid a full second to 1.5 or 2 on them in last 200, neither him NOR his brother appear to be nearly ready yet, and actually seem to be behind last year at this point. It is what it is.

yeah, as i sit here and think of it, they have never actually hit good times in any invites, they run average (for their abilities) until districts where they turn up the heat and then they go crazy in after race after that~!

Thats definitely true. This guy obviously made it a little too close for comfort for himself. Maybe he got in a bad position, or maybe he was up against some good kickers, but if he's really in great shape, it wouldn't have been that close.

he paced a teammate during the meet so the teammate could go under 156 and craig went 155 and the teammmate went 156 low so im sure he could go 152 if he felt like it

Miller ran 155 during that meet? That's not to shabby especially if he was really just pacing his teamate.
