Are there a lot of junior and sophomore NJ boys harriers who didn't compete in indoor track, or have I just missed seeing their results?
I know Patrick O'Boyle plays hoops.
Could some post what these guys did this winter, whether it was other sports or health concerns?
Brett Johnson
Josh Black, Haddon Heights
Dave Oster, Verona
Phil Wood, Pennington School
Jordan Magath, Hillsborough

Thanks Blackbeard.
How did Phil Wood do this winter?
I don't remember seeing his results. He has a pile of talent; I figure if he was running he'd have put up some nice times.

I saw he ran 4:28. I dont think anything much faster. Nothing off the charts. Nice guy went to camp with him. He is a stud.

Tyler's name was misspelled in one of the results and was added to the data base in error the second time. It has been corrected.
Good catch. Thanks.

Tansey a 1:24.xx 600 I believe, to go with several sub 1:58 splits (1:55 once I believe) and I think his 1:57 at the group meet was his fastest open 800 this year, but king would know for sure. He also ran 52.mid for the open 400 on a very slow JC armory track. Impressive mid-d season to go with a good cross campaign.

Wyatt ran the 3200m several times this indoor season, making it to the SMOC as well as winning the Bergen County title in the event, running 9:48.4.
Vargas ran a seasonal best of 9:52.6 to place second in the Bergen County Championships, and also placed second in the North Jersey Championships (to teammate Leighton Spencer) in 10:02 and second in the NNJIL "C" race (also to Spencer) in 9:56. Vargas also ran the 1600 a few times, with a personal best split of 4:37.
Looking forward to a great season from both of these guys!

A lot of the guys you are questioning were pretty visible during indoor. All you have to do is go to NJRunners.com and look around a little. I mean, running the 32 at SMOC is pretty easy to see.

Thanks, I was mainly checking Scullions' top times, and the Groups and MOC. I should have dug a little deeper.

SMOC = State Meet of Champions.
It is a quaint device that natives of that most affluent of counties use to differentiate that event from their own BMOC or BERGEN MEET of CHAMPIONS.
The rest of non-affected NJ simply refers to their respective events as County Championships.

As was pointed out to me on here a couple years ago, Bergen is NOT the most affluent county in NJ.
But thanks!:D

I don't know where Delbarton is, so if I can't find him in the Groups or MOC, I get lazy.
In the Group race for Delbarton, Pat Schellberg wasn't listed, so I thoguht there was a chance he didn't do XC this Fall. Look like he might have been a DNF, since Delbarton only finished 6.
