Do any other states run this? (I live in NJ)
I know Dyestat doesn't have this even ranked... but share some times for it if anybody here has run or runs this event

We do it here in NY. I really want to try it. With the two guys who i have in mind to do it with me, i think my team would do pretty decent in it.

yeah, a ran it in new york last year. i'm petitioning for a collegiate 3x400h at penn relays(not really, but that'd be sweet. we could run a pretty sick time)

Yeah I really like the relay.. It's too bad you don't see more of it on the national scene.
Wow, I didn't know it was a New Jersey thing. It's in every relay meet around here.

I didn't think it was just a NJ thing, but it's not one of the relays ranked on Dyestat, so clearly it's not popular enough in all states to get any attention.

Do you mean you guys actually use a baton during a 300 hurdle race? We have a 4by 300lh but we just add up the times here in minnesota...???

This has got to be one of the worst relay ideas I have heard of!!! I will also say that the 400 IH that you(East Coast) guys run are stupid (33"). I have found that kids who run the 300 IH (36") transition better to the college hurdles, 400 IH (36").

In NJ we run the same hurdle height as in college races
Who told you that we don't run 36" hurdles?
And for clarification the 3x400IH is not run with a baton, but with all 3 team mates going at the same time with 3 other members of a different team. The times are added up and that is the relay time. The major plus to that is that the time you run really isn't a relay split like an 800 on a DM or a 4x8, but a time that one can count as one's own PB in an open race.

I had no idea that the high school 400IH's were only 33". That's ridiculous.
Fastfemale, what school do you run(hurdle) for? I run(hurdle) for Andover.
I run for Eden Prairie! I love it!!
