im getting 2 new pairs of shoes in a few days, and im trying to decide what to get. I want to get a pair of shoes for a little faster running, not a racing shoe, just a lighter and more flexible shoe. and then i want a shoe with more cushioning to help me recover on easy runs and on longer runs. i was thinking about getting the nike zoom hayward 3's for faster running and the vomero 3 for the cushioning. Do you guys think this is a good choice? and if not can anyone advise me on some really nice shoes to get?

For the "faster" shoe, I'd go with a marathon flat. There's a bunch of them, the Adizero line is great (LT's, Competitions, RC's) and so is the Zoom Marathoner. Saucony Fastwitches are good too.
I can't tell you anything about the heavier trainer, since I haven't run in one in over a year.

the vomero is a great shoe for LSD, but i would look into the adidas line of flats/lightweight trainers for workout/racing flats. check out runningwarehouse.com and holabirdsports.com for some deals.
