I think its interesting how the new rule(no 4x8 DMR double) is coming into effect. I am really suprised Chamindade isnt going DMR. Im assuming Northport going 4x8 is to space out Tschihart double and same thing with Kellenberg for Schmidt's double. Any other thoughts?

Saratoga girls choosing 4x8 over DMR...possibly a result of not having that Blood anchor? Or maybe they lack a quick 400?

Shaker Vs. Shen again in the 4x800 trials. Syosset in another race, Holmwood in the other. Should be a great final.

who you think top 6 gonna be in the 4x800, since shaker not coming and i do not see warwick nor the top teams from new york state. Predict top 6!!

who said shaker is not coming? they are listed team DA in event #96..
my guess it will take 7:53-55 to make it back into the final. Last year i believe the last time in was 7:54.x without researching it.
shen, shaker, syosset have been under 7:50, warwick should be able to hit 7:52 right about now, northport can be about the same if they are healthy, kellenburg ran 7:57 or 58 indoors....sleepers would be mt.st michaels always strong 4x4, washingtonville 4 of 4 back from last year's 7:56 and now starting to get in shape after no indoor season for most, tappan zee can pop one..oops and chaminade..
Top 6 NY teams and i'll attempt order:
1. Syosset (?)
2. Shaker
3. Shen
4. Warwick
5. Kellenburg
6. Chaminade
And after the race you'll see prob nothing close to that prediction and that is why we run...Good luck to all

I'll bet holmwood brings a team that runs no slower than 7:46
Also, last year seems to have been a 'freak' year in recent memory. Most of the time just over 8:00 gets you into the final.

I thought no individual in the 3k or the mile may also run on a relay. Or am I remembering the rule incorrectly? If I am right, then my guess is Northport and Chaminade opted for the 4x800m relay because without Tschirhart and McDermott the middle their DMRs wouldn't be competetive enough for their liking. The Northport guys are much better suited for a 4x800m (in my own humble opinion) without Tschirhart at the moment. Chaminade, unfortunately, can't run a 4x2-mile relay, but if they could I think they'd do exceptionally well.
[Edit: again, same for Schmidt if correct]

you cannot run the DMR then run in the mile or 3k. You CAN run in the 4x8 then the mile or 3k.
