Steeple or general(I guess question)

Ran a steeple saturday, and the inside of the pit was concrete. Very painful, and still painful today, to the point that my form was badly affected by the end of my run (hurt quite badly to run on heel). The trainer says something about a bruise on a tendon sheath under my heel. Anyone have experience with something like this? The pain is dull and hard when I step down, and briefly sharper as I lift my foot from the ground. Hurts to walk on for a while after as well.

That sucks...a concrete water pit does not sound like a lot of fun, especially considering how hard I tend to come down when steepling. The best bet is to ice it as much as you can. I think I had something similar back in middle school and it can get really bad. Besides that, all I can really say is don't ever run the steeple at that track again.
