I kind of had one the last couple days I was there, then I came back today and it's pretty much all gone. However I still say "y'all" sometimes and I get made fun of that. I also got made fun of a lot when I called pop "pop" instead of soda when I was there.

Such is life living in the South. I get ridiculed for "pop" all the time at school. And now "you all" or even slightly occasionally "y'all" is part of my vocabulary and I get crap for it back in IL. Can't win haha

oh man. he's smarter than i thought. it's such a good idea. kind of like me working in a guys dorm. it's such a confidence booster for me. tons of college boys all living together are like :eek: :D when they see a girl there.

Accents in Louisiana really depend where you are at. I'm from south central LA, so there is a lot of people that speak French, which makes the accent French. New Orleans' accent sounds a lot like a Brooklyn accent. Other areas of the state either sound like Texas or the south.

Not everyone calls all soft drinks "coke." In fact, I think most people down here actually just call them "soft drink." The whole "pop," "coke," and "soda" stuff isn't used all that much from my experience down here.
