Favorite Mike Lange Saying

This will probably be just me and zoom talking, but it's still worth it. Choose your favorite of Mr. lange's sayings and then discuss the pros and cons of each of them.

My god, it took my entire lunch to type all them.

I like his old school ones, the I've seen that fish before has moved to the top of my list. I crack up every time I hear it and say it in real life all of the time now. Every time I see something, or somebody, do something I expect them to, I say "I'VE SEEN THAT FISH BEFORE!!!"

Wow, what a stunning development. That is a good call, but it probably wouldn't make my top 5.

Most people seem to hate Steigy, but I don't really mind him. I think he does a respectable job. He's had an impossible task to try and fill Lange's shoes and compared to most of the NHL guys, he does a great job.

Gary Thorne is probably my favorite, but he's only on video games anymore.

I am not a huge Steigy fan, but never really have been. I was more a fan of his brother on KDKA TV. Back when him and Lange simulcasted on the TV and the radio, KBL and KDKA I believe, they always got in arguments. Like Steigy tried being the biggest know it all ever. That's why thy broke them up I think, they really didn't get along real well on the air.

The way they have the pairings now is good though. Steigy is a straight man and Erry is a little loony. Then on the radio it's the opposite, Lange is joking around and Phil Bourque is more serious.

Now I'll still set up the radio and turn down the TV sound unless the delay is too wide. Some nights it is, some nights it isn't. You have to always check.

I'm glad Georges Laraques isn't on the team anymore. I could just imagine Lange saying "HOW MUCH FRIED CHICKEN CAN YOU EAT?" after he scored a goal. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton would have poor Mike unemployed lickity split.

I think Godard will do a better job as an enforcer, even though Big Georges is easily the better fighter.

BGL was almost too nice sometimes out there on the ice.

I could get downright nasty, but it would take something extreme. He ignored a lot of the little pot shots thrown at Sid and Geno.

Godard is one step into a mental institution. He will lose some fights, but he's not gonna back down from anybody and will be insane.

Lange got a lifetime ban from the Pub and Pizza in Mt. Lebanon a while back. Not sure what he did to earn it. I'm trying to find somebody with the story.
