I eat a bowl of ice cream EVERY day (1/2 a gallon a week), but I'd like to find a cheaper alternative. Any ideas? Preferably something high calorie, somewhat healthy, not too "processed".... don't care what the fat/carb/protein content is (obviously fat has more calories). I was thinking peanut butter. Candy is probably not a good idea.

I had the same problem but with coffee. I'd drinka cup before class during breakfast and then another one after dinner. Caffeine's a drug which made it too hard to drop cold turkey. I've been stepping off slightly. I'm down to 1/2 a cup a day (I still binge on the Sunday mornings). Instead of finding something new, perhaps just step off it gradually? It's doing me well...if not, Peanut butter seems more economical and a good alternative.

As the one and only Don Kardong said, "Without ice cream, there would be darkness and chaos." There is no replacement for good ice cream--about half of my current PRs have come the day after eating a full pint of Ben & Jerry's :D

Coffee/Heathbar is the devil.

Ah ha, I got some ideas from friends! Bagels..... duh!!!! Peanut butter or cream cheese and bagels. Yes, maybe I should just "ween" myself off the ice cream, say, every other day.:) I don't know if I can do without it. Hmmm.... sherbet; I'll look into that.
Yes, coffee is a huge problem for me right now as well! I'm drinking 1-2 cups a day with milk and sugar. Last Thurs. I had 3 cups, and I was nauseous the whole day. Probably should cut back with the warm weather. It's soooo good though!

If your eating your ice cream after dinner before bed, try eating a bowl of cereal instead. It can be sweet or health but a box may last longer then ice cream or atleast be cheaper.

Ahhhh, very good! Actually, I don't eat cereal for breakfast (eat porridge because it's cheaper), but cereal would be a good "snack" and probably a cheaper alternative to ice cream.

there are no alternatives. ice cream owns all :D
you cannot subsitute something for icecream. if you have to, you might as well just cut it out all together :(

So I went two whole days without eating ice cream, and I was starving! Definitely getting some hunger pains, despite trying to eat other snacks (bagels, cereal). I went back to eating ice cream and felt so much better.:)
