South Suburban Blue:
Midlothian Meadows - 9:30am first official race. There is an open 1 mile race at 9:00 for anyone not on their HS team. Free.

Southwest Suburban - Possibly hosted by Lockport at Dellwood. Should be interesting to see what Verzbicas can do and match up that time with the what was run at the Lockport Invite.

Does anyone have any predictions on team finishes for the boys and girls varsity team races at the WSC meet at Elburn this Sat. Geneva is going to win, but the battle for 2nd looks like it is shaping up to be a nice fight between Kaneland, Batavia, Sycamore, Yorkville, Glenbard South, Rochelle and DeKalb. I think if every team runs at full strength and runs their top teams, who knows who could get 2nd place Sat. Predictions anyone?

the fvc meet has gotten much better than expected. not only did CG and DC advance, but PR also advance. good team w/ good depth. mitch wilkins freshman, leading that team.

No one "advances" from a conference meet. Congrats to PR on their unexpected 3rd place finish, but they are not a "good team w/ good depth." Even the best PR teams (which this one isn't even close to) haven't had good depth which has always killed them. They were 120 points behind CG. Wilkins is impressive though.

i think PR has a good chance next year to be really good, since DC and CG runners will be leaving, right now their depth is tight, but idk, look at DC last year, they weren't "great", and now they are actually good. PR is in the same boat as DC was last year.

CG returns 4 runners that all finished in the top 15 at conference and had the open race winner. I think they might just squeak by you :rolleyes: . DC finished like 10th in the state last year, PR will be lucky to make it out of regionals. There's really no comparisons. Be happy with your 3rd place finish.

I was at the joliet conference and as a news update, verzbikas won it all. they ran the blue and red divisions together which pit verzbikas and zach dahleen against each other even though they were technically in seperate races and dahleen led most the race by a bit and then it came to an awesome final kick where verzbikas just beat dahleen.
