it seems like most of the top individuals (that arent on elite teams) are choosing to run footlockers over nxn

If Springer goes I am picking him for an easy top 3 finish. I know some might say I as a Rhode Island runner have gotten caught up in the Springer crazy that has gripped Rhode Island this season but... There is a method to my madness. The Van Cortland(sp) course ends with a nice and flat finish if springer is in contention going into that last flat half mile he will be able to book along with the leaders. As seen at New Englands Feigan has a monster kick but let's not forget that Springer absolutely burried the reigning New England Champion on the RI State Course on the back hill on the mile two stretch of the course. Springer is a sub 4:12 miler and has the speed to motor the last 1000 yards or so.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the runners who are competing in the meets on Saturday. Not heading to Foot Locker this year, but definitely want to put something in the paper for both meets.
Coaches and runners can get in touch with me at the Herald after 11 tomorrow at (617) 619-6651 or email me at reardon@journalist.com
Thanks and good luck to everyone racing!!!
