Tomorrow marks the 30th anniversary of JW becoming...

JW - hope tomorrow brings back lots of great memories.

P.S. Don't celebrate by drinking any grape kool-aid...also the 30th anniversary of Jonestown.

Hmmm, don't you think there had to be something in the water that day since they ran the bowl backwards that year? :D

I remember when I thought someone in their 30s was old! I was just a sophomore that year and had no clue what was going on up front just wanted to hold my spot for our team. Turned out to be a great team race that year as well. Joe beat some very talented runners that year.

Joe and others, is there a formal gathering that takes place, I would love to stop by and say hello.

One of the great team battles in MOC history too that year:

1. Memorial 102
2. Brick 105
3. CBA 106* (6th man tie breaker)
4. Morris Catholic 106

Thanks Mike. Any chance you can make it to MOC this year?

P.S. - Kool-Aid has gotten a bad rap over the years. Jones used Flavor Aid, not Kool-Aid. ;)

JW

Joe - No can do for MOC - I'm going to be at the International Beer Expo at the Nassau Coliseum on Saturday. I'll be sure to wear a Rangers jersey for the occasion. Hope you guys have a good time.

Yeah, I actually read about it being Flavor Aid just recently...maybe we could've sent this guy down there to stop Jim Jones before things got out of hand...

We (Mo Cath) should have won that year. Our 4th and 5th runners who were pretty solid all year, spit the bit and ended up as our 6 and 7 runners, both seniors too which made it even worse..
We had crushed Memorial in the Easterns without our #4 guy (he sat out with a sore leg) earlier in the year, finishing 2nd to, I think Walt Whitman by less than 10 points.

JW, I will be officiating, working the chute, stop by and say hello.

That was the first of Walt Whtiman's back-to-back Easterns titles (they buried everyone in 1979 with 57 pts).

JW, you are quickly becoming an old dog (though young for your grade, I'm sure;) )
