View Full Version : I need a nightly core workout!
And I can't find the Master Core Workout thread.
Here's what I'm looking for:
-A core workout to do everyday
-General core workout (works all parts of the abdominals)
-Makes my abs stronger and better looking
-Doesn't take too long
-Works well
GO!

Why don't you just do something like this:
4 x 25 (crunches, bicycle kicks, leg lifts, pushups)
And then eventually work your way up to 8 or 10 sets or something. It takes like 20 minutes.

^Something like that is good with the different targeted areas. Maybe alternate that with the other night being like 3xmin for each plank position (front, both sides, and back) and throw in some movement with those, like single leg normal plank, hip raises on the side ones, or leg raises, and same for the one on your back.

I do a very basic set:
(3x25 crunches (legs in the air throughout)) (3x15 push-ups) X4
This probably doesn't work every part of the abs (and probably isn't enough either), but it works pretty well I think. I throw in some planks sometimes if I feel up to it.

3 sets of weighted decline situps 12-15 reps (going near the point of muscle failure)... do this 3 times a week, skip it on other days
2 sets of 1-2 minute planks, front and side
3 sets of 1 minute leg lifts, legs straight, feet never touch the ground, lift your legs between 5degree and 45degree angles
3 sets hanging leg raises, use weight on days you are doing decline situps, use bodyweight on other days

ive been doing 3x(50 crunches, 12 pushups, 1 min. plank) every day for a few weeks now and i feel like ive gone from unbelievably weak to just relatively weak. i dont know if that helps you out at all though.
