Akita is an assistant at Rockford? York guy, EC grad, why not?

Akita bubbles to the top either way or an Al Carius trained runner/educator. Carius has produced about a million coaches, teachers in the Chicago area. Ed Riegert who was a DGN grad and ran, then coached with Carius took the North Park job so he is probably out. He finished 2nd at state in the 1600 in 96 to Bakken. DGN had a monster 4X8 with Riegert and blew everyone away that year but got a DQ in prelims I think. LT went back to back in the 4x8 in 95 and 96 but had lost to DGN 3 times in 96 up to the state meet.

dropped the baton on the first leg first turn, and didnt re-enter his proper alley, thus they got DQ'd. according to my coach, it was like time went in slow motion when the baton came out of the runners hand.

I just PM my brother and he runs at Elmhurst I'll talk to him about it and see whats going on and who if anyone right now the are going to get to coach.

I did not know Huff was leaving. This might explain why he has not called me lately about running there. :confused: He seemed like a nice guy that knew what he was doing. Where is he going to coach at now??
