Most impressive performance/race of 03-04

What do you think was the most impressive race performance of 03-04? Not necissarily time based, but like a good show down or gutsy race.

I think either Withrow's state 2mile (that move he made was hella awsome) or the 4x800m show down between LT and Mt. Prospect (specially the last leg).

At state, or the entire season?

For the entire season I'm going with EMac's 8:55 at the dual meet in April of last year. It came out of nowhere, and I think it was the most impressive race time-wise for distance running last year. I remember timing it and he clocked in at 4:28/4:27.

Competition-wise, I was blown away by Withrow's double at state. I honestly thought for a second that he wouldn't win either race, then he came away with a massive kick at the end of each race to win both. I think he ran a smart and conservative race, and his reliance on his kick was key. Mad game.

I honestly thought for a second that he wouldn't win either race
wow, i dont even wanna start there. nobody in the entire state ever had anything on withrow and never will in distance.

some races that come to mind are...
last leg of the state finals 4x8. Usually this is one of the best races at the meet and it didnt fail its hype this time around.

the mile- withrows 53 400m nuff said.

everyrace at state i thought was awesome and had a lot of drama.

one i witnessed was emac at proviso indoor running a 910, i thought that was awesome.

basically every major race at sectionals.

The GBS 4X800 @ sectionals was amazing. I drove out there just in time to catch it, and it was windy. GBS was in 3rd with like either 100 or 200 meters left and Honig flies by WWS and someone else, I forget, and wins it. That was a very gutsy race.

state 4x8. Topol ran a 1:51 anchor and got outkicked by Garde. That is absolutely amazing. Not to mention that both of those times were in the top 5 in the country last year.
