Different weights per state?

Just curious, does every state use the 12 pound shot for high school competition? Which ones dont, and what do they use?

yes, I believe that they all do. However, some prep competitions that occur outside the HS season, use the 16 lb.

In California we use a 10 pound for frosh/ soph and all varsity athletes use the 12 pound. All Invitationals use the 12.
