Hey guys. The Deerfield Distance Gala is going to happen this year on June 13th. If you don't remember my post from a while ago here is some information. The Deerfield Distacne Gala (DDG) is a mock track meet with hilarious events. We did it last year with just a few guys, but this year we are making it a statewide event. Anyone from any school is invited, including girls. This year we are raising money for The American Cancer Society. So far the minimum price to participate is $10 for unlimited events. $15 T-shirts will be sold, and I will post the design later (It might be less if we can get the price down). If you want a T-Shirt, send me a personal message with your name and size, and bring $ to the event. Here are some events that we know are going to bu run. More events might be added later on.
3000m Makeshift Steeplechase (backwards hurdles and a kiddie pool)
4x100m Piggy-back (One person is passed from people's backs every 100m)
800m Crossdressing Race (Put on one article of small women's clothing every 200m)
Backwards quarter
800m or 400m Racewalk
and the main event....THE MILKE MILE!!!!!
T-shirts will be awarded for the winner of the milk mile and the individual team champion. Teams can be formed (4 person minimum). More information will be posted later on. List any events you think would be a good idea.
