Default A State Meet Thoughts/ Predictions

What do you Class A guys think?

Who's going to take it?

Any unranked kids to watch out for?

I personally think Connor Gjevre is going to win. I think i said something like this during track season, but I will give everyone hand jobs if he doesn't win. Also, I could see Troy Koivisto going in the top 5 atleast. end of my section 5A bias.

Here are Musa and Joyce nearing the finish line in the AA meet last year. Wouldn't it be interesting if both won their respective classes this year?

Koullick should take it this year, he won the 3200 in track last spring and has dominated his races, making sub 16 5ks look almost easy.

Other top finishers should be Connor Gjevre, and Jake Brown.

Sleeper to watch for, Mason Ferlic of MPA, he ran 16:06 at Tri Metro Conference Championships and hung right with Koullick and Jake Brown in the section 4A race.

Surely Koullick has produced some great times, however who has the fastest time on the St. Olaf course? Musa would be the right answer, with a time 15 seconds faster than Koullick last year...

I understand Koullick could have improved, but so could Musa

Honestly i'm not sure who will take it, Koullick or Musa, but I think as long as they both have good days, they will surely go 1, 2 either one coming out first

Also thinking that Gerdts is overrated and Stoll is underrated...but I could be wrong

I wish I could quote myself, but as I recall in a thread in late August I called Waseca girls to win state and look who's ranked first! Not saying that they will win for certain, but it's likely

God damnit, who does Gjevre have to blow to get some respect?

Anyone know what happened to Austin Bauer at sections?

OK, completely hypothetically, what if Shane Streich pulls of a monster upset and beat Musa and Koullick and Gjevre and all those guys and wins state as a seventh grader? That would certainly cause a stir.

Quite honestly, I might not be suprised if he did.

But he is not, so this is a moot point.

I pick Musa. Having seen him run many times when he was with Park Center, he is most likely going to sprint out to a big lead out of the gate, lead the whole way and win by 10 seconds (like what Mead did at Griak this year for Minnesota). Koullick will be next, followed by Gjevre, Ojullu, and Brown.

Now I'm going to be boring and pick Perham for the team title.
