First off, if you, a grown man I presume (although your posts have been becoming increasingly childish) now hate a high school runner because he happened to have an off race and screw up your (very weak) predictions, you need get your priorities straight. Do you also hate Tyler Byrne now because he didn't win? Come on.

Second, you really aren't doing too much to help your apparent MAJOR central Indiana bias. Thinking that CN would only win by 20 is laughable as whitesox alluded to. And Chesterton clearly established themselves as #2. Why you fail to recognize that is beyond me.

Third, I agree that NC will be much improved, and may even beat CN, with the addition of Bahelbi, and at the beginning of the year I would have said that they were definite NXN favorites with him coming back. BUT, CN has established themselves and I am guessing they will put up a pretty good fight. But what do I know, I'm not a "profit" after all!

Sorry it took me awhile to post, I was busy getting fitted for my new False Profit robes.

I have enjoyed my time as the False Profit and am looking forward to my destroyer. I was a bit too harsh to Will Wartenberg and no I don't hate him more than Colin and Bain nor do I dislike him. I hope WW knows I was truly just joking with him in a harsh way because in observance of him in person, it seemed his sense of humor was like that.

I wrote a little about how this may be last year doing this but I'll just leave you with that hint instead of making this totally about me. I'm not going to try to talk my way out of anything I've said but I"m honestly surprised at the reception this has got, did any of you bother to look at the post semistate profit poll or my latest midwest poll?

Most of you guys can blame yourselves for nothing but bad news on the tv because its what you like to watch. I had to post a bunch of retarded things to get people to talk. Most of this may have to do with the tension of a dwarf black hole not exhausting itself and swallowing us all whole due to the LHC at Cern getting fired up again, its a small chance but for the entire world of what I know to be totally annihilated into singularity is a pretty frightening possibility.. Plus someone died from rabies in my county last week and that kind of got me thinking about all the wild animals that have bit me recently. I enjoyed playing the false profit but most of you don't understand it. Good luck to everyone, I hope you guys take NXN as serious as state.

Sorry I don't want to get into this fight but I do want to say he has raced. He has raced in a couple of college races as unattached. He went like 15:25 in his 8k.

Also Mark don't hate on Will. He is a great guy so I don't want you blaming him and nor do I want you to hate him.

Haha Biros I know you're just messing around, but to hate me more than Bain or Colin!?! That's just harsh! But Columbus North is just too good and that was the only point I was trying to express. Yes, Toumey didn't take his enzyme or whatever medicine but I still think with him healthy and Bahalbi running, they are STILL behind CN but better than Chesterton. Also, I do not have a touch screen phone (Blackberry Curve) and I KNOW the state meet is still more prestigious than NXN, although NXN is an experience that I would die for. I mean to be on the Nike campus and attain a bunch of free Nike gear, who wouldn't go for that?! But still how can you beat the podium picture and everything else that happens race day at the meet. I might just be old school but whatever...

And I am just happy I could finish out the season after that darn pig flu that everyone else and their brother got as well, to be with my teammates throughout the whole tournament and to toe the line with them at the state meet was awesome, even if I did run 17:50. So I will take the Rosenburg award, even though I think it should go to my main man CODY MAROWSKI

you can never go wrong with free gear. I get it all the time going to talk to companies at Lawson Building (Computer science building at Purdue) that I have no chance with but just to go before class for the the free food (ex: Jimmy Johns, free pizza, and cookies) and appearal (so far I've gotten five t-shirts, a long sleeve shirt, and a hat this year). Although I have to say somehow I have got two job interviews out of it and one internship offer. Don't know how that happened though.

Winning state is the goal. Should be now, and should be in the future. NXN is the prize after the season, where you get to test yourselves even further against even better competition. Just like Footlocker has been for elite individuals.

To no surprise I disagree with this. We are one of the few if any high school sports that has a legit national championship, we should embrace this and treat it like it is more important than state. Personally although I"ve never been in this position I would pick a 2nd place finish in my state meet for a national title, not a state title over and national title. I understand at state all of your peers are watching and it does mean a lot to win it in front of grandma but I believe maybe your spirit or priorities are in the wrong place. Its national championship vs. state championship. There is no comparison. I think some teams may play it off because going up against a national squad may make them look not so tough and that the state title was more important but I do wonder what the mentality is of teams with chances to win the national title and or individuals. Plus having the experience of a paid for trip to be treated like a professional runner or like you are running for a elite college program is also a great experience I imagine.

But I'll say it again National Title vs. State Title painted that way, there is no comparison.

I disagree in this one as in the idea that we are competing in the IHSAA. The National Championship doesn't follow the same elegibility requirements. Not that I am saying it isn't awesome and truly an amazing accomplishment and is anything like cheerleading nat'l champs, but it still shouldn't overshadow IHSAA state champs. Not that it plays a huge factor, but $$ comes into play. Some teams can't afford to make the trips since school funds and busses can't be used.
