just wondering.... has any current regionally ranked # 3 team beaten a current # 1 at anytime this season? boys or girls...
not that it matters much... as the regional results will tell all...

So after sweeping formerly ranked Hidden Valley at districts, US#13 Blacksburg girls lose their regional meet to them. Very confusing results.

queensbury, tatnall, and monroe-woodbury all beat lincoln-sudbury at manhattan

Alex Hatz did not run for Fayetteville at their sectional meet this morning. No idea why... though it looks like a lot of teams across NY have guys out or running well off normal with illness. Flu is hitting hard here.

TX region results.

Woodlands looked really strong with a tight pack 2-6 to upset Cedar Park.

Klein Oak lost a good 15+ points due to their normal #3 being sick and finishing a bit back as their 5th man.

Neuqua upsets Loyola 99-111 at Illinois state meet. Composto finishes as 4th for Loyola. If he gets 2nd they win 89-102. York 3rd with 118.

it was pretty much acknowledged that loyola's top 5 had to be on for them to win. Sure enough 6/7 runners ran pretty good races, but composto was 40 seconds off and it cost them a state title. Great season for them though and they still should get thru to NXN. Also york rebounds from last week with a good performance here.

Great race to watch.

The Woodlands' number 1 Tom Sanderson finished 4th overall, and they had an 8 second spread (

) from 2-6, going 11-15. Their 7th man, although a bit back, lost a shoe at some point during the race and still finished ahead of Cedar Park's fifth man.
