Colorado's top 4 got all-conference, the team got 2nd to Texas Tech, Barringer won individual, and McLaughlin got the 2nd place medal with top newcomer honors. Two Buffs ran a tiny bit slow, but it'd have been 2nd place either way. Gonna be tough to be better than 5th in the national poll. West Virginia's bad weekend is all that could save a top-4 rank.
allies time ahead of lisa is most important, and will only continue to improve. this kid is a phenom.....now that lacross is out the way. wetmore you got to keep her off the slopes this winter.

And jenny.....she enjoyed, that last mile, she's usually all business.

and also....Kaitie, nice to see you/her back!

Colorado won regionals. Flotrack thought Colorado would rely on a larger field to finish ahead of Texas Tech, but they even beat Tech in head-to-head scoring. 6 men and 5 women got All-region.

Barringer stayed with the lead pack for 4k and coached McLaughlin a little. I'm thinking she did that now either cuz she'll insta-drop the field next week in a nationals record attempt. Or less likely, she'll run the same next week to help max McLaughlin for the top 4 team podium goal.

CU is back to #1 for the region. They go strictly by region meet results this week. There won't be much change nationally, could go to 4th or 5th if voters don't like how far Princeton & Oregon were behind nova & Washington or drop to 7th with how close WV was to Princeton.

You can say whatever you want to your teammates. Barringer was at least giving some sort of pacing advice, probably "run slower!" since running too slow isn't in BigMc's vocabulary. It's hard for me to tell what she's is doing peakwise, cuz she still has a lot of novice in her. She could keep lower times without peaking, or peak her fitness early and still run faster from what she learns.

Cross Country had a couple of brief interviews here. Forward it to 1:00 unless you wanna here a guy stumble the intro.

Regional race footage, mostly interviews.

The more I look at times, the better it looks for Colorado getting 2 medalists. McLaughlin has swept all the prenats rematches except Barringer. The best-placed at prenats was Kimaiyo who finished 4th in their blue race and was 7th with combined times and finished in Hasay's group. One of last year's medalists didn't get an invite and 5 graduated. I'd guess she'll run 20:20-20:30. The cut-off last year was 20:24.

Colorado drew box 19 women and box 23 for the men out of 41. 19 isn't as bad as it sounds, cuz they'll only have 11 runners in the next 3 boxes on one side. Texas Tech women got a primo spot and WV did pretty well. Washington and Villanova are only 3 apart. The men are next to Oregon. The top 4 all drew better, especially bama and Portland. http://bit.ly/48UWQ8
