2007 California Prep Performers of Year - Girls
Who were the top few female Track and Field stars in the Golden State this past spring? After reviewing the nominees (if ever there was a star-strewn list this is it for one season) at this link ( http://dyestatcal.com/news/tr2007/Ju...rl/Summary.htm) please vote for who you think were the top three female athletes statewide this past spring season. As the article indicates you need to nearly need to be one of the top ten all-time in your event nationally or have a breadth to your performances across a series of events close to that to be included in the select list. We think if you do not agonize a little bit over your choices you are not spending the correct time deciding, and the choice of three (and let's see what the eventual totals are) kind of forces you to venture out from your favorite event area in the poll (we hope). PLEASE VOTE FOR THREE

i cant believe more people aren't voting for richardson. That tripple jump series at the state meat was beastly. 5 jumps over 44 and all 6 were over 43. Ive never seen anything like that. That alone was enough for me to vote for her, add on the 13.32 hurdles and the 20-10.5 long jump, and i think there isnt much of a question.

Voted Anthony, Richardson and Hasay
Even though it was post-season Hasay's 1500 was faster than Kosinski's converted...so that knocks out all distances.
Anthony and Richardson has amazing seasons and were putting up huge marks...so they got my vote too.

Congrats to the kids, coaching staffs and support systems of these incredible athletes.

All of those girls put up NCAA type marks!
In fact, Vashti Thomas would have won the NCAA Western Regionals with the time that she put in at the State Meet in the 100m hurdles! (13.03 vs 13.06 ) Props to Miss Thomas and her great coach, Steve Nelson at Mt. Pleasant!
Richardson would have come in 3rd at the NCAA Western Regionals behind Erica McClain and Decontee Kaye.
At the NCAA Outdoor Championships, Miss Richardson would have won the title with her wind-aided 45-04.25 and been roughly tied for 4th ( with Decontee Kaye again ) with her jump of 44-04.
Moreover, Tori Anthony deserves huge props too!
Her 14-01 would have won the NCAA Outdoor Championships!!!
She initially went thru the National record at 13-08 with a 13-09 clearance, and then made 14-01 look even easier! Props to Tori and Coach Scott Slover!

All four girls were outstanding. The distance bias on the board is inflating Hasay's and Kosinski's scores.
