Nike South Cross Country Invitational

Coaches/Athletes,

I hope that you are as excited as I am about the upcoming cross country season and are preparing for a successful campaign. We here, at The Woodlands High School, are gearing up for another competitive year and for what promises to be a competitive season.
The Nike South Cross Country Invitational is also gearing itself towards being another great, competitive event. This year the races will be held over a two day period (September 23-24)with the Jr. high, Open and Corporate divisions being held on Friday the 23rd followed by the high school divisions the next day.
This year we have secured the park for two full days giving us the capabilities to provide our partners, like Luke's Locker, the ability to set up displays, foot-strike analysis options, etc. to better serve the athletes and spectators.
We have prepared a website on our own this year that will give us the creative freedom we want and the ability to make changes in a more timely manner. On the site you will find all the relevent information for the event from hotel/restaurant options, last years results/pics, registration information, sponsor links, etc. Have a look at what we prepared.
Our goal this year is to create an avenue for great competition at all levels by offering excellent race management, accomodation, a unique atmosphere, and additional races (ex. we are providing Varsity Elite Girls 5k, Varsity Girls 5k, and Varsity Girls 2 miles). We are offering races for any team, at whatever competitive level they are currently at--and we go one step further by allowing any team to enter as many 7 member teams as they wish in all races except the Varsity Elite. All teams entered can go for the hardware!!
Our 'South' region, encompassing Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi and Arkansas will be targeted in the hopes of attracting as many teams as possible. We have already received a call from a high school in Arizona who wishes to attend--we are very excited!
