Making a Poll

Can I edit a thread to add in a poll after the thread has been created? I'm pretty sure I've seen other people do this and I can't just start a new thread so does anyone know if i can?

I don't believe you can. What generally happens (I think) is that people have checked the "Yes! Post a poll" option. Then, during the ten minutes they spend making the poll, it looks like there is no poll on the thread and people post on it. Then they finally finish the poll and it appears out of nowhere, like a magic show but on a computer and without the magic.

Yes, click on "thread tools" directly above the post and click 'Add Poll.'
